Job Description

Hospice Services of Massachusetts is looking for an experienced Executive Director to join our growing team!

Our agency serves patients throughout the eastern portion of the state with a main office in Lakeville and a branch office in Haverhill. This is a salaried role between $140,000 and $165,000 with weekly pay.

The Executive Director is responsible for the overall direction of the hospice services, including employment, the provision of hospice services, and establishing standards of care. You establish, implement, and evaluate goals and objectives for hospice services that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy.

Requirements:

  • Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in health care management required.

  • At least a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field preferred.

  • Understanding of hospice care, Medicare Hospice Certification, and corporate business management required.

  • Must have experience working in the hospice industry.

  • Must be willing to travel to the Haverhill office as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operational planning and budgeting of the agency to ensure financial stability.

  • Ensuring organizational compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.

  • Ensures that all business conduct is above minimum standards required by law and will not condone any activities that achieve results through violation of the law, unethical business, or patient care practices.

  • Evaluating hospice services and personnel using measurable outcomes and objectives.

  • Ensuring adequate and appropriate staffing.

  • Directing staff in the performance of their duties, including admission, discharge, transfer, revocation, and provision of service to patients.

  • Monitoring service utilization to ensure delivery of comprehensive care.

  • Monitoring operational progress toward accomplishing operational and strategic goals.
