This position will support our retail furniture stores throughout the greater Pittsburgh market. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining the appearance, functionality, and safety of our store environments through painting, wallpapering, light carpentry, and general maintenance work. The ideal candidate has strong trade skills, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is comfortable traveling between store locations.

Job Duties

• Perform interior painting and wallpapering for sales floors, offices, and back-of-house areas

• Complete light carpentry and repair work, including drywall patching and minor structural repairs

• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and non-mechanical equipment

• Safely move and reposition furniture as needed for repairs or store resets

• Use hand tools and basic power tools to complete assigned tasks efficiently and safely

• Climb ladders and work at heights as required for painting and repairs

• Conduct routine inspections and proactively address maintenance issues

• Travel between store locations within the greater Pittsburgh area

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment

• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• Valid driver�s license and reliable transportation

• High school education or equivalent

Skills and Abilities:

• Proven experience in painting, wallpapering, and drywall repair

• Basic carpentry and general maintenance experience preferred

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple locations

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift, move, and carry furniture and materials

• Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders for extended periods

• Ability to safely use hand tools and maintenance equipment

Schedule:

• Full-time schedule, which may occasionally include early mornings or evenings based on store needs

Work Environment:

• Retail store environments and occasional back-of-house areas

• Frequent travel between locations within the regional market
