Shift: Monday - Friday 8:30a - 5p

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team in delivering exceptional resident care and achieving strong clinical outcomes.

About the Director of Nursing RN(DON) Role

The Director of Nursing serves as the clinical leader of the facility, ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care. This role oversees nursing operations, supports staff development, and promotes a positive and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all nursing care operations within the facility.

  • Develop, implement, and uphold nursing policies and procedures to ensure high standards of care and regulatory compliance.

  • Mentor, coach, and support the nursing team through regular feedback and performance evaluations.

  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and supportive work culture.

  • Ensure nursing staff maintain required licensure and certifications.

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to enhance resident care and operational outcomes.

  • Analyze patient care data to guide quality improvement efforts.

  • Manage departmental budgets and allocate resources effectively.

  • Work with facility leadership to achieve clinical and organizational goals.

  • Ensure residents consistently receive compassionate, high‑quality nursing care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field required.

  • Current RN licensure.

  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility.

  • Participation in the on‑call schedule is required.

  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

  • Strong knowledge of nursing regulations, compliance, and best practices.

  • Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills.

  • Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.

  • Experience managing budgets and departmental operations.

  • Proficiency with electronic health records and healthcare technology.
