About the Crisis Services Program
The Crisis Services Program is the first program of its kind in the Kansas City area that provides the community immediate, same-day access to psychiatric medication for mental health and substance use needs. Through a multi-disciplinary approach, the team provides care to clients every day of the week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the clients' and community's needs.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct comprehensive crises and psychiatric evaluations to formulate diagnoses.
- Appropriately prescribe medication, including medication-assisted treatments.
- Manage medical care and oversee the treatment of clients in this level of care.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, holistic care.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system.
Requirements of the Position
- Medical degree with psychiatric residency (Missouri licensure required)
- Board-Certified preferred; Board-Eligible considered
- Willingness to provide collaborative practice to APRNs
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfort with electronic health records and intermediate computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and use of email)
