You Are an Account Supervisor (Pharma).
Location: Toronto or Halifax, Hybrid.
You effectively manage the day-to-day of multiple projects across varying scale and scope, ensuring all work delivers on the brief and aligns with clients' marketing, communications, and broader business strategy.
You bring a solutions-based approach to problem solving, continuously identifying opportunities to strengthen support, communication, quality, and the overall to its pharmaceutical clients. While core accountability for financial growth sits with senior peers, Account Supervisors actively contribute to the year-over-year health of their accounts.
As a key contributor to the client relationship, the Account Supervisor applies sound business knowledge, solid judgment, and industry expertise to meet and exceed client expectations. They are a champion of strong strategic and creative work — confident in their ability to evaluate deliverables, provide meaningful feedback, and fully understand the challenges clients are looking to solve.
What Are Your Responsibilities?
- Manage a portfolio of client relationships with a clear understanding of your role in account profitability
- Identify new revenue opportunities, primarily through upselling, and begin to cross-sell agency capabilities with manager support
- Build meaningful relationships with junior and mid-level client contacts (brand and product managers) while earning the confidence and respect of senior marketers
- Respond to — and anticipate — client needs, excelling at meeting them
- Think beyond the brief: ask questions to fully understand the business need and consider whether alternative solutions may better serve the client
- Maintain a "big picture" view across accounts, understanding the interdependencies of various initiatives even on projects you're not directly working on
- Ensure SOWs are well understood and — in partnership with your PM — manage multiple projects on time and on or under budget
- Stay current on industry and vertical trends so that clients view you as a strategic partner
- Lead meaningful knowledge transfer to the PM and delivery team at the start of each project
- Serve as your direct client contact's primary point of contact at the agency, leading client conversations and acting as a strategic partner
- Work closely with your PM partner, ensuring they have the information needed to effectively support project execution — including requirements gathering, strategic direction, and client expectation management
- Review project deliverables across all stages of the project lifecycle to ensure client requirements are met and approvals are received; this includes reviewing copy and layout at key milestones and supporting external governance and compliance (e.g., ASC, PAAB)
- Facilitate the requirements analysis phase and prepare the Requirements Analysis document
- Take ownership of the quality of all client-facing deliverables, applying a "client lens" when reviewing work against the brief and client feedback — and respectfully pushing back internally when a deliverable falls short
