Position: Afternoon Floater
Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 / hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 6:00pm
Location: Kid Scholars Academy at 2229 Cypress Lane, Sugar Land, Texas 77478
Position Type: Part-time / Full-time
Key Responsibilities
Implement pre-planned lesson plans and curriculum provided
Maintain a safe, orderly, and positive learning environment, adhering to school rules and procedures.
Provide instructional assistance and one-on-one support to students as needed, adapting activities to meet diverse learning needs.
Supervise students during various activities, including in the classroom, during meals/recess, and during transitions, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Work closely with lead teachers, administrators, and other staff members to coordinate activities and support overall school goals.
Complete administrative duties such as taking attendance, and assisting with general classroom organization and cleanliness.
Be ready to work in different age groups or subject areas at short notice, quickly building rapport with new students and adapting to various teaching styles and classroom routines.
Key Skills and Qualifications
A High School diploma (equivalent GED) is required.
Prior teaching or childcare experience is preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to be flexible, resourceful, and work independently or as part of a team.
Patience and a passion for working with children from diverse backgrounds.
