About This Role
Degree Heating & Cooling is looking for an HVAC Install Field Supervisor to oversee the efficiency and profitability of the HVAC install team. This person will manage a team of Installers and Install Coordinators. This is a full-time role that will report into the General Manager and be based out of our growing Glastonbury, CT office.
What You’ll Do
- Maximize capacity, efficiency, and profitability of the HVAC Install team
- Analyze and control job expenses to meet the budget
- Show technicians how to establish client rapport to ensure highest levels of satisfaction
- Set expectations for each installation, including safety and code requirements
- Ensure jobs are properly staged by coordinating and inspecting equipment, plan and results
- Continual recruitment and development of team members
- Conduct training to ensure on-time, high quality installations
- Monitor performance of installation technicians and advise them on ways to improve
- Facilitate the annual evaluation review process
- Promote enthusiasm and brand loyalty during daily huddles, team meetings and 1:1’s
- Adhere to the company’s plan for resolving client complaints quickly and favorably
We’d Love To Hear From You If You Have
- 5+ years of HVAC install/service experience
- Active Connecticut HVAC License
- Experience managing a team of installers, with excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Proven experience leading a growing team to success
- Ability and willingness to motivate and develop the install team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Must consider safety one’s primary job and must have general knowledge of safe working practices and OSHA requirements
- To adequately perform the duties of this job the team member is regularly and routinely required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, use hands to handle controls, hear, and talk
- Must be able to climb ladders, work in hot and cold environments, and work in small crawl spaces
- The ability to regularly lift and/or move 50+ lbs is required
- The work environment can vary depending on the season and scope of work – employees are required to work outdoors throughout the seasons
