Your role as a IT Senior Systems Engineer
Key responsibilities:
Salary Range
$95,000 - $105,000
Position Overview
Because of the growth NewCold is going through we need to
expand the IT Department with someone who will be responsible for managing and
maintaining our organization's systems (our Windows environment but also our
Networking infrastructure). Your expertise in Windows server technologies,
Active Directory, group policies, and PowerShell scripting will be essential in
ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of our systems as
well as your expertise in networking infrastructure based on Cisco technologies
such as Cisco DNA Center, Cisco ISE and Nexus and Catalyst range switches,
firewalls and wireless technologies.
Roles and Responsibilities
Networking
Support and execute on our global network migration strategy.
Understand and execute all network related configurations and components within NewCold’s environment (Microsoft + Cisco), including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
Run automation on Mellanox/Nvidia and/or Fortigate technologies.
Safeguarding a 4-eyed principle during design, plan and build.
Automation, Scripting, Documentation, and Collaboration.
System Monitoring, support, and troubleshooting

Who we are looking for:
We are seeking motivated and forward-thinking individuals who thrive in
collaborative and fast-moving environments. Our ideal candidate has:
Requirements
4-7 years of technical experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to adopt new technologies fast.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex system issues.
Proven experience as a Senior System Administrator or similar role, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in managing Windows-based and/or Cisco-based infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of Azure, Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory (MS Entra ID), group policies, and PowerShell scripting.
Understanding of network design and network automation principles.
Strong knowledge of network protocols.
Understanding of network security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, VLAN’s, SDN and other network access controls.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex network issues.
Understanding or ability to adapt to Cisco ISE, Cisco Catalyst Center and Nexus, Catalyst Operating systems.
Comprehensive understanding of Cumulus network operating system.
Hardware installation experience and design principles.
Good understanding of L1 – L7.
Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios).
Strong knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS), network architecture, and network security principles.
Education/Certification
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field (or equivalent work experience).
