We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to join Keysight’s Aerospace & Defense Custom Solutions (ADCS) group. In this role, the project manager will lead a cross‑functional team of Systems, Mechanical, and Software engineers in the development and delivery of custom test system solutions designed to support our customers’ test needs. The project manager will be responsible for managing multiple projects concurrently while supporting one or more customers. We are looking for someone who builds strong, trusted relationships with customers to ensure a complete understanding of their needs and system requirements. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical engineering background to facilitate discussions between customers and the engineering team, helping to identify and mitigate project risks as designs evolve.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Project Manager is expected to demonstrate strong leadership by guiding cross‑functional engineering teams, setting clear expectations, and promoting accountability across all project activities. This includes fostering a collaborative environment, facilitating effective communication, resolving conflicts constructively, and leading teams through technical complexity and ambiguity. The successful candidate will model professionalism, sound decision‑making, and a customer‑focused mindset while motivating teams to deliver high‑quality solutions on schedule.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of each project, including requirements and design reviews, scheduling, resource planning, risk management, product development, integration and test, delivery, and post‑delivery support. The role also includes collaboration with our business development team to generate accurate and compelling proposals for new business opportunities.
In addition, this role requires close alignment with several operational and compliance functions:
- Procurement Alignment: Partner with the procurement team to ensure timely ordering of materials needed for project execution. This includes tracking high‑risk and long‑lead items, monitoring supplier performance, and escalating risks to maintain schedule commitments.
- Logistics Alignment: Work closely with the logistics team to prepare systems for shipment, ensuring hardware is cleaned, packaged, documented, and ready for transport. This includes coordinating special shipping instructions for government facilities and other restricted destinations.
- Export Compliance: Support export compliance activities throughout the project lifecycle, including serving as the business classifier for assigned projects. The project manager will ensure accurate classification of hardware, software, and technical data, and confirm all export‑controlled actions comply with ITAR, EAR, and Keysight procedures.
Qualifications:
- BS or MS degree in an Engineering field is required
- Strong communication skills to interface effectively with customers and internal teams
- Exceptional organizational skills and comfort working in an agile, fast‑paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, Outlook, and Project)
- 10+ years in a customer‑ and factory‑facing role (Applications Engineering, Product Management, Product Development)
- 8+ years as a Project or Program Manager
- PMP certification is a plus
- Experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry is strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of RF and test systems is a plus
- Experience developing custom test solutions is preferred
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance and to meet ITAR requirements. You must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or lawful permanent resident) as defined by ITAR.

Colorado Pay Range: MIN $128,670 - MAX $214,440
Note: For other locations, pay ranges will vary by region.
