Job Description:
Maintains standards of professional nursing practice and coordinates total nursing care for patients with consideration of their specific age needs. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with other health care professionals.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/experience/licensing:
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS certification.
• BSN Preferred.
• Two years of Oncology experience preferred, chemotherapy training required, or obtained with 60 days (2 months) of hire.
• Oncology nursing certification preferred.
• Clinical experience preferred.
• Computer experience preferred – Word, Excel.
• Current Practice Management software, preferred.
• EMR experience preferred.
• Must be willing to rotate shifts and units.
Communication and other skills:
• Able to document care legibly in hand written text
• Able to navigate through the EMR and record required data accurately and efficiently.
• Able to communicate and collaborate with team members including but not limited to physicians, nurses, managers, medical assistants and other team members.
