Operations Control Center Specialist

The OCC Specialist Planner will be responsible for the effective and cost-efficient utilization of crew resources and assisting the flight operations team to schedule, change, and update all flight schedules. The OCC Specialist will also book any required travel during their shift based on schedule changes made. The OCC Specialist will assist with scheduling projects such as vacation bids, quarterly pilot bidding awards, and updating staffing models.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Make, change, and reorganize pilot flight schedules based on operational need.
  • Communicate changes to flight schedules with crewmembers over the phone and email.
  • Book and change any travel arrangements for flight crew members.
  • Participate in a ten-week schedule bidding project.
  • Assist flight operations / dispatchers with questions regarding flight schedules.
  • Assist in the planning of required company aircraft movements for maintenance.
  • Coordinate with flight training to assist with providing crewmember availability for training events.
  • Act as OCC Specialist / Travel Logistics Coordinator if necessary.
  • Maintain a professional and positive attitude while interacting with all internal and external employees.
  • Track new hire pilot flight time.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree in aviation preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of FARs regarding Part 121 and Part 135 operations experience.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team simultaneously.
  • Ability to work with multiple different departments.
  • Previous Travel Coordinator or crew scheduling experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Time management skills, organization, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Previous experience using Microsoft Office Products.

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position is second shift work.
  • Some travel required (10%).
  • Must be available every 5th or 6th weekend for on-call weekend travel phone calls.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

None

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

Work typically performed in an office environment.

  • Certain duties may involve moderate exposure to airport and aircraft operations.
