About the Role

The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain the organization software development initiatives and must have expertise delivering solutions leveraging multiple programming languages (Microsoft, NET Core, Python, React), back-end solutions (SQL Server, Cosmos), and application integrations (HL7). In addition, this role will support the organization data warehouse initiatives with expertise in Azure cloud data warehousing and data integration services (Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory). Individual will collaborate with senior engineers and architects, participate in technical integration efforts.

POSITION’S ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Design and develop software supporting healthcare revenue cycle, supply chain and care delivery services. 
  • Provide active architectural guidance and leadership throughout the entire development lifecycle. 
  • Lead technical integration efforts with vendors, customers, and partner systems. 
  • Must keep up to date with software industry trends, healthcare technology services and general software engineering best practices. 
  • Proactively collaborate across internal teams to ensure products are delivered successfully, with high quality and in line with stated requirements. 
  • All other duties as assigned. 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in software design and development specializing in the healthcare industry. 
  • Have a clear understanding of application development and data security standards. 
  • Hands-on clear understanding of application development and data security standards. 
  • Hands-on experience in Microsoft.NET Core, Entity, Framework, Python, React, RESTful API services, SQL Server, and Cosmos DB. 
  • Knowledge of Azure data tools including Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Data Lake Storage, and Power BI. 
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging Kubernetes and developing micro services. 
  • Expertise with HL7 messaging, and EDI file specifications. 
  • Expertise in Microsoft.NET Core (C#), JavaScript (ES6/ES7), CSS best practices, RESTful API services, and SQL Server. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Practical experience developing platform APIs and performing technical integrations. 
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes. 
  • Demonstrated experience with data modeling and enterprise data management. 
  • Healthcare industry experience creating HIPAA compliant software is preferred. 
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests. Ideally, in a test-driven development scenario. 
  • Familiarity with Domain Driven Design/ both tactical and strategic DDD. 
  • Experience with designing and building predictive models. 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent years of experience. 
  • Experience working with IT architecture frameworks.
