Job Description

Position Overview:

The Customer Service Specialist plays a key role in connecting customers, the sales team, and production within a highly customized print environment. With a wide range of products and unique specifications, this position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage complex, multi-step projects from initial quotes through final delivery. The ideal candidate is quick to learn, detail-oriented, comfortable navigating technical processes, and genuinely committed to providing outstanding customer support.

 

This full-time, on-site opportunity offers a competitive hourly wage along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off and holidays, retirement plan options, incentive bonuses, and additional employee perks. Starting pay ranges from $21 to $25 per hour, depending on experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers to identify opportunities, address complex challenges, provide solutions and insights, and offer new products and services, all with a focus on building long-term relationships.
  • Communicate with customers by phone and email to discuss printing requirements, provide job status, deliver quotes , process orders and changes, confirm shipments, and address any questions or concerns.
  • Contribute to the success of The Print Source with the goal of 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure production goals and shipping dates are met.
  • Seek out and communicate continuous improvement ideas.
  • Practice the 6S method; an industry standard for improving efficiency, designed to help build and maintain a high-quality work environment.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned by management and participate in cross-training to support team versatility.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and one year of recent work-related experience or training.
  • Customer service experience in industrial, retail, or restaurant environments is preferred.
  • Ideal candidates are comfortable working in an inside sales role.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while communicating effectively with both internal teams and external customers.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Able to write concise correspondence and confidently present information to individuals or small groups such as customers, vendors, and employees.
  • Sound judgement in evaluating color, design, and print quality.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, as well as calculate rates, ratios, and percentages.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to work the entire shift sitting and/or standing at a desk while operating a computer.
  • Capable of lifting and moving up to 10 pounds, with occasional heavier loads.
  • Requires specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • This on-site role located in Wichita, KS, with office hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
