Job Summary: Assist districts in increasing student achievement through the provision of professional development, coaching, and technical assistance in the areas of curriculum implementation and leadership development. Will support various TEA Initiatives such as, but not limited to, Bluebonnet Learning Implementation, Texas Instructional Leadership (TIL), Research-Based Instructional Strategies (RBIS), Learning Acceleration Support Opportunities (LASO), etc. Leadership and Instructional Foundations for Texas (LIFT) is a TEA Initiative aimed at supporting district leadership in change management. This role will partner with district leaders and school leaders to support the successful implementation of High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) with a focus on building leadership capacity, guiding implementation planning, and ensuring high-fidelity execution of instructional strategies to improve student outcomes.
Qualifications:
Education/Training:
- Prefer a Master's Degree in a related field
- Prefer applicant to have administrative or instructional coaching experience
Experience:
- Prefer at least 10 years of educational experience
- Prefer campus/district administrative experience
- Strong ability to collaborate with leaders to establish instructional priorities
- Strong ability to analyze instructional trends and provide actionable feedback
- Experience implementing an initiative or a grant

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Support and coach district and/or campus leadership in implementing TEA initiatives.
- Empower district and campus leaders to lead instructional improvement.
- Monitor fidelity of implementation and identify trends across schools.
- Lead learning walks, including analyzing classroom implementation trends and supporting leaders in using trends to create actionable next steps.
- Attend training sessions to maintain certification and stay up to date on TEA initiatives and best practices.
- Model the planning and facilitation of key instructional leadership systems, and provide actionable coaching and feedback that develop campus/district leaders in their roles.
- Plan, develop, and present research-based, data-driven professional development for Region 7 customers, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Provide technical assistance to Region 7 customers to improve student performance.
- Participate with other ESCs and TEA in activities designed to promote improved student performance.
- Work collaboratively with all ESC staff in serving the customers of Region 7 ESC.
- Demonstrate professional behavior in all interactions with ESC staff, the TEA, and customers.
- Attend and actively participate in ESC-required meetings.
- Adhere to ESC policies and procedures in the Region 7 ESC quality management system.
- Regular and reliable attendance.

Funding
All Region 7 employees are at-will employees. Because your assignment is funded by grants, federal funding, and/or special funding, your continued employment is expressly conditioned on the availability of funding for the position. If funding becomes unavailable due to loss of state/federal funding or due to financial constraints of Region 7 ESC, your position is subject to immediate termination.
