The QA/QC Department Manager is a critical leadership role at Madrid CFTL, responsible for overseeing the integrity, compliance, and performance of our field and laboratory operations. This position plays a key role in upholding our commitment to safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement across all construction materials testing services.

Key Responsibilities 





  • Lead the QA/QC program for laboratory and field testing, ensuring consistent accuracy and compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, and FDOT standards. 







  • Supervise and review test reports, daily field logs, and lab results to verify adherence to project specifications. 







  • Standardize procedures across teams and ensure proper calibration and maintenance of equipment. 







  • Mentor and train field and lab technicians to promote technical excellence and procedural consistency. 







  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions. 







  • Maintain and update internal quality manuals, SOPs, and training records. 







  • Participate in internal and external audits; ensure certifications and accreditations are current and upheld. 







  • Track and analyze quality metrics, identifying trends and implementing improvements. 







  • Contribute to business development by supporting proposals and communicating Madrid CFTL’s QA/QC capabilities.
