Job Description

Job Title: Production Planner-Scheduler

Reports to: Supply Chain Manager

Job Summary: Responsible for forecasting, analyzing and converting customer demand into production schedules. Align cross-functionally to create an efficient schedule that ensures performance meets customer requirements. Production scheduling supports all machine work centers across the Gaishin network (3 sites).

Job Duties:

  • Analyze customer demand requirements and schedule production jobs accordingly
  • Forecast future demand, capacity and throughput requirements
  • Produce and analyze data to solve future capacity and throughput bottlenecks (long-term enterprise planning)
  • Balance workflow to honor lead times, hit commitments and ensure efficiency
  • Engage with operations, quality and engineering to understand and remove bottlenecks
  • Ensure capacity aligns with throughput needs and material availability
  • Produce on-time delivery metrics
  • Identify contributing factors that limit performance via data analysis
  • Engage cross-functionally to align key data inputs and close gaps
  • Align with customer service to proactively identify at-risk orders

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Production planning experience
  • Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
  • Detail oriented and extremely organized
  • Root cause analysis & problem solving (continuous improvement)
