Marklund is seeking a highly motivated and mission-centered individual for the position of Dietary Manager. This full-time position (Mon-Fri; 7:00a-3:00p) is based out of the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva, IL. The salary for this position will be $55,000.
Who We Are:
Marklund is a nonprofit organization that provides residential, educational and therapy services to infants, children, teens and adults with serious and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs. With two residential locations – the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva and the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin, it is currently home to nearly 178 residents. The Marklund Day School offers Multi-Needs and Life Skills programs for children and young adults with multiple medical needs, and those diagnosed on the autism spectrum. In addition, our Community Day Services program at each site is a therapeutic day program for adults who reside at Marklund and those who come in from the community.
Summary of Duties:
- Responsible for the daily cooking and operations of the food service department, according to facility policy and procedures and federal/state regulations. Note that this position requires the Certified Dietary Manager to cook daily as well as manage the kitchen staff.
- Plans and prepares meals daily; including responding to client preferences, substitution lists, therapeutic diets, special nourishments and supplemental feedings.
- Maintains inventory records and orders food, supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:
- Certified Dietary Manager (required)
- 2 or more years of related experience desired
- Occasional travel to Marklund’s Philip Center in Bloomingdale, IL may be required
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and to meet its functional and environmental requirements
