Camp Lincoln for Boys is seeking an experienced Cook to join our team for the Summer 2026 season. This role is ideal for a culinary professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen while being part of a meaningful, youth-focused environment. The Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality, nutritious meals for campers and staff, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and adherence to food safety standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including proteins, vegetables, and scratch-made items, in a high-volume camp setting
- Follow established recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
- Ensure meals are prepared efficiently to meet scheduled service times
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
- Uphold all food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring an “inspection-ready” kitchen at all times
- Assist with product storage, inventory organization, and kitchen operations
- Support team members and contribute to a positive kitchen environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Excellent time management and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and perform physical kitchen tasks
- Ability to read labels and follow safety procedures
Education & Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of culinary experience in a high-volume kitchen (camp, resort, school, or restaurant experience preferred)
- Experience with batch cooking and/or feeding large groups is a plus
- Food safety certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license may be required for certain duties
