UTEX Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team and drive safe, efficient, and scalable manufacturing operations. This role focuses on improving production performance, supporting new product launches, and ensuring processes, equipment, and tooling meet quality, delivery, and cost targets.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team
  • Drive process improvements, standardization, and KPI performance (efficiency, scrap, uptime, delivery)
  • Own tooling strategy, equipment selection, and capital project execution
  • Support new product industrialization and production readiness
  • Partner with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Planning teams
  • Identify and resolve manufacturing issues through root cause analysis
  • Ensure accurate routings, labor standards, and costing inputs

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related)
  • 10+ years of manufacturing engineering or operations experience
  • Proven leadership and team development experience
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools
  • Knowledge of molding, extrusion, or similar manufacturing processes preferred
  • ERP system experience and strong problem-solving skills

 

Work Environment:

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday
  • Combination of office and manufacturing floor
  • Occasional evenings/weekends as needed
  • Up to20% of travel
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physical environment
