Job Description

The Hotel Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of two property hotels including the Front Desk, Reservations, Laundry, and Housekeeping Departments.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for generating room forecasts and daily revenue reports, including yield management.
  • Responsible for responding to guest comment cards, letters, and phone calls, addressing complaints and resolving concerns.
  • Responsible for the staffing and supervision of Hotel Operations (i.e., Front Desk, Night Auditor, Reservations, Laundry, and Housekeeping).
  • Formulates and implements Hotel Operations policies and procedures and ensures enforcement of company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for planning budgets and control of payroll costs.
  • Establishes standards for personnel administration and performance, service to patrons, room rates, credit, and service.
  • Must be able to adapt to changing business demands.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods of time (7+ hours).
  • Knowledgeable of the Indiana Gaming regulations as well as company's internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Always follow the Company Service Standards model.
  • Must be available for regularly scheduled work and be able to work a variety of hours, holidays, and weekends.
  • Other duties may be assigned at any time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university; 5 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 3 years hotel operations experience
  • Strong Leadership capability
  • Proficient In Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
  • Experience working with Oracle Opera, Oracle Purchasing strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compensation up to $60,000, depending upon qualifications and experience.
