POSITION SUMMARY
Prepares, seasons, and cooks soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuffs for consumption in a banquet environment by performing the following duties
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays and special events; varying shifts depending on customer need. Full Time positions available.
Shift differentials of $1.00/hour extra for 4:00 p.m.- midnight and $2.00/hour extra for midnight - 8:00 a.m. We also offer a generous benefit package with Health, Dental, Vision, Life insurance, Employee Discounts, Paid Time Off, Vacation, and 401k - with a company match.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Distribute food to servers.
- Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages. Monitor to correct any food cost problems by controlling food waste.
- Adjusts thermostat controls to regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, fryers, and steam kettles.
- Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipe to prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces, and casseroles.
- Bakes, roasts, broils, fries, sautés, and steams meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods in addition to having a working knowledge of convection ovens, braisers, deep fryers, broasters, alto shams, steamers and various kitchen processing equipment.
- Assist in keeping buffet in the banquet replenished and clean.
- Carves meats, portions food on serving plates, adds gravies and sauces, and garnishes servings to fill orders. Start food in process making sure not to prepare more than estimated amount.
- Washes, peels, cuts, and shreds vegetables and fruits to prepare them for use.
- Butchers chickens, fish, and shellfish. Cuts, trims, and bones meat prior to cooking.
- Able to observe and test food being cooked by tasting, smelling, and piercing with fork to determine that food is cooked properly.
- Able to complete the prep lists as required daily and form plans to execute proper par levels for each item.
- Able to properly put away food inventory.
- Able to explain and execute all sanitation and cleaning duties.

Requirements
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Experience: 1 plus years of experience in food preparation and cooking
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Preferred
Other Requirements: Responsible for producing and maintaining high quality food for the buffet served at banquets in terms of flavor and presentation. Prepare buffet served in banquets cuisine in a timely manner according to established recipes.
Must pass State and Federal background check, and pre-employment drug screening (which does test for THC)
