What you will do: Lead and coordinate improvement initiatives on inkjet and digital printing machines (e.g., Inkcups, Mimaki, Epson, Dacen). Troubleshoot and provide full technical support for inkjet printers, lasers, and other digital decoration equipment. Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance, manage spare parts, and ensure machine uptime. Optimize colour management and profiling across devices, substrates, and sites to achieve consistent results. Review and document technical processes, implement standardization, and drive best practices. Support global and local R&D and Operations teams with implementation of new technologies (e.g., RIP software, new inks, new substrates such as lanyards, glass, plastics, metals). Train and mentor operators and setters to improve their technical skills and reduce waste. Collaborate closely with suppliers, international teams, and internal stakeholders on technical projects. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, including testing materials and commissioning new production lines. Ensure compliance with safety standards, technical specifications, and quality requirements. Participate in international exhibitions (e.g., FESPA, Drupa) to identify opportunities for process improvements. Work closely with the Manufacturing leaders to integrate development processes as part of lean manufacturing and continuous improving tools. Lead equipment improvement activities across all processes through DMAIC Methodology (Define, Measurement, Analysis, Improvement and Control.) Troubleshoot complicated set-up’s, facilitate training on digital equipment. Learn new Digital technologies and deploy knowledge to existing and new employees. The above scope is design to develop is to work on specialty knowledge for digital equipment’s but not limited to other types of equipment which nature can be mechanical or electronic. Perform basic to intermediate corrective or preventive maintenance support. Travel to other sites or training courses may be required.
Experience & Skills Minimum of 3 years of industrial engineering experience in a lean manufacturing environment. BS in Industrial or related Engineering, technical background operating or troubleshooting equipment. A strong background in Engineering, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices. Methodical and Analytic oriented. Experience in achieving deadlines and commitments. Experience in Project Management – certification is a plus. A team player with strong communication & stakeholder relationship management skills. Ability to communicate findings, orally and visually, to a variety of audiences. Good English communication skills. Availability for travel. Proven track record of implementing successful projects that impact the bottom line. Knowledge and understanding of lean manufacturing. Knowledge of OHSA guidelines. Strong analysis and decision-making experience and ability. Proven facilitation skills through engagement, diplomacy, and diverse opinions. What we need from you: - Technical education (university or secondary with relevant experience) in mechatronics, mechanics, electronics, or related field.
- Hands-on experience with inkjet and/or digital printing systems; laser and silkscreen knowledge is a plus.
