Position Summary
The Director of Health & Wellness is responsible for overseeing the delivery of resident care services, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, and leading the clinical team to provide exceptional care and service to our residents.
What You Will Do
- Provide services in accordance with state and federal regulations and Department of Health guidelines
- Oversee resident care, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance with community standards
- Participate in pre-admission assessments for prospective residents
- Perform admission, monthly, and periodic resident assessments for functional and cognitive status
- Review and revise care plans at admission, as required by regulation, and with any change in condition
- Ensure proper medication management, including administration and documentation following the five rights
- Review and transcribe physician orders accurately and timely
- Assist physicians during resident examinations as needed
- Coordinate and assist residents with medical, dental, and laboratory appointments
- Lead and participate in staff development and training programs
- Ensure compliance with all personnel policies and community procedures
- Implement and oversee fire safety and emergency preparedness procedures during drills and actual events
- Maintain dependable attendance and scheduling reliability
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
Why You Are Qualified
- Graduate of an accredited college or university in a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in senior living, long-term care, or related healthcare setting
- Current LPN license in the state of Florida required
- Strong leadership, clinical, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for providing high-quality care and enhancing the lives of seniors
