Member Service Representative
We are hiring primarily for:
- Evening coverage: 1 closing shift per week on average - potential to fill in other evenings. Typical shift is 5-9pm.
- Weekend coverage: 1-2 weekend shifts per month on average.
- A typical weekend shift is either 7-11:30am or 11:30am-4pm on a Saturday or Sunday during the summer and 7am-12:30pm or 12:30-6pm on a Saturday or Sunday in the winter.
Potential to fill-in during the week at other times: early mornings (4:45-9am), daytime (9am-3pm), and afternoons (3-5pm) if available!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet members, prospective members and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
- Handle all front desk related activities, such as monitoring member and guest check-ins, new member registration and point-of-sale transactions.
- Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Fitness or Aquatic Supervisors as needed.
- Assist members with use of fitness and pool equipment.
- Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the facility.
Physical Demands
- Continual standing and walking during shift.
- Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
- Potential for light housekeeping or cleaning duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 year of age or older.
- High School diploma required.
- Customer service background preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Basic knowledge of fitness and aquatics equipment.
- A passion for fitness and health.
- Punctuality and reliability is required.
- Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the members expectations.
- Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
- Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
