Job Description

Member Service Representative


 


We are hiring primarily for:



  • Evening coverage: 1 closing shift per week on average - potential to fill in other evenings. Typical shift is 5-9pm. 

  • Weekend coverage: 1-2 weekend shifts per month on average.


    • A typical weekend shift is either 7-11:30am or 11:30am-4pm on a Saturday or Sunday during the summer and 7am-12:30pm or 12:30-6pm on a Saturday or Sunday in the winter.



Potential to fill-in during the week at other times: early mornings (4:45-9am), daytime (9am-3pm), and afternoons (3-5pm) if available!


 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Greet members, prospective members and guests, providing exceptional customer service.

  • Handle all front desk related activities, such as monitoring member and guest check-ins, new member registration and point-of-sale transactions.

  • Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Fitness or Aquatic Supervisors as needed.

  • Assist members with use of fitness and pool equipment.

  • Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the facility.


Physical Demands



  • Continual standing and walking during shift.

  • Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.

  • Potential for light housekeeping or cleaning duties as assigned.


Requirements:



  • Must be 18 year of age or older. 

  • High School diploma required.

  • Customer service background preferred.

  • Basic computer proficiency.

  • Basic knowledge of fitness and aquatics equipment.

  • A passion for fitness and health.

  • Punctuality and reliability is required.

  • Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the members expectations.

  • Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.

  • Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
