Job Description

ICLA Volunteer

InnerCHANGE, Los Angeles, CA


Purpose

The heart of InnerCHANGE Los Angeles (ICLA) is to see people from our community raised up as leaders and activated missionary disciples of Jesus, who live out and share the Good News as people shaped by God’s love, justice, and mercy. The purpose of the volunteer role is to come alongside and partner with our InnerCHANGE staff as we serve youth at our office and in Central Los Angeles.


Qualifications

We are looking for volunteers who love Jesus more than anything else, and enjoy connecting and building relationships with youth. Bonus: Bilingual in Spanish and English who can relate to and communicate with Spanish-speaking youth.

 

All volunteers working with youth are required to be fingerprinted and complete Mandated Reporter Training. 


Responsibilities

  • Share your love for Jesus with youth.
  • Encourage and help grow their identity as children of God.
  • Act as a role model and mentor for young people
  • Organize recreational activities and encourage participation.
  • Participate and help lead discussions about faith and bible studies.
  • Help with outreach in the community and local schools.
      • Participate in any volunteer training and be ready to learn. 


          Duration

          This volunteer role is for the 2024 fiscal year.
