Aviation & Missile Solutions (AMS) is currently
seeking a Contractor Special Access Program Security Officer (CSSO) to
join our Huntsville, AL. team.
This position will be responsible for instituting all customer-related
security requirements as it relates to the contracts, security compliance,
procedures, and operations for specialized government programs to include daily
security management, oversight for multiple programs, ensure adherence to 32CFR
Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM),
Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and DoDM Special Access Program,
(SAP) manuals, covering physical security, personnel clearances, and
information systems.
Must have current experience in the U.S. Government,
DoD, Intelligence, or contractor community in security management.
Key Responsibilities
- Security Compliance & Documentation: Interpret and
implement Security Classification Guides (SCGs). Prepare and implement facility
security documents, including Fixed Facility Checklists (FFC), Standard
Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Emergency Action Plans. Safeguard
classified information, conduct security briefings (OPSEC, Insider Threat), and
manage courier and destruction procedures.
- Personnel
Security: Process, track, and maintain associated
documentation, including indoctrinations, debriefings, and nominations. Maintain
access rosters and update appropriate policies and procedures as required. - Physical
Security: Manage customer specific
government requirements (physical security, facility security, access
control, network, IT security, and personnel, etc.). Oversee classified
material accountability, preform site inspections and alarm testing. - Compliance
and Reporting: Act as the liaison between the
company and government security officers. Conduct Annual Self-Inspection
using the customer specific Integrated Security Assessment Checklist. Maintain
facility accreditation. Coordinate with government agencies to obtain
rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with
regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum
of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
combination of related education and work experience. - Must
have at least 3+ years of experience in one of the following areas:
Industrial or Government Security involving Counterintelligence, Personnel
Security, Information Security, Information Systems Security, Physical
Security, Technical Security, hands-on supervisory security leadership, or
project management. - Must
have demonstrable experience implementing related areas of: IC Standards
or Directives; DoD Directives, Instructions, Manuals, or Standards, i.e.,
DoDM 5105.21 and DoDM 5205.07; 32CFR Part 117, NISPOM; or related
government regulations. - Must have
excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical
writing ability. Must be professional, capable of
independent engagement, and possess the ability to collaborate with peers
and personnel to ensure adherence to regulations and guidelines.
Additionally, the candidate must be adept to independent decision-making,
possess a high degree of individual initiative and organizational skills,
and function with minimal supervision.
