Join Us as a Cleaner – Casual Role at Melbourne Airport

We’re growing our team and currently seeking weekend Casual Cleaners located at Melbourne Airport.

As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across public areas, ensuring supplies are stocked, and delivering excellent customer service. This role requires self-motivation, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and compliance.

The Position:

• Cleaners provide services to all departments, staff rooms, and airline offices


• Safe handling of chemicals and/or hazardous substances in the performance of cleaning duties


• Identifying and recording any problems relating to cleaning services and/or safety


• Cleaning of public areas including bathrooms, kitchens, and common rooms


• Stocking of supplies and ordering as necessary


• Maintenance of cleaning records and compliance standards


• Delivery of excellent customer service and positive communication to all customers


• Shift times: Casual, mostly weekends and sometimes during the week for coverage

Minimum Criteria:

• Previous experience in a cleaning role is highly desirable


• Self-motivated and able to demonstrate initiative on the job


• Professional presentation and strong customer service


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Able to obtain an ASIC Card (clean criminal history)

These roles are primarily for AM shifts (4 to 5 hours) on Saturdays and Sundays, with the flexibility to support shift coverage during the week (Monday to Friday), either AM or PM, depending on operational requirements.
