This team member will serve as an individual contributor on the LCE (life cycle engineering) team, focused on the design, development, test and support through the full life-cycle of electronics in low power wearable medical devices for infusion pump systems. Execution to schedule with high quality deliverables is key to success.
Position Overview:
This is a junior electronics engineering position responsible for design, development and post-launch support of low power battery operated medical devices electronics. This position must have a good understanding of both analog and digital circuit design, and be able to manage multiple tasks concurrently. This position requires close cooperation with other members of electrical engineering team to accomplish project objectives. It also requires interaction with outside contract design house and vendors, manufacturing, software, mechanical, and quality groups.
Responsibilities:
Participate in root cause analysis for design and manufacturing issues at the PCB/PCBA and system level.
Research, select, qualify and maintain electronic components that are used in the product.
Contribute on the design, development, testing, and transfer of products to manufacturing
Create schematics and PCB layouts; manage prototype fabrication and assembly with external vendors
Investigate PCB/PCBA quality concerns and work with contract manufacturers to drive improvements
Perform hands-on lab measurements and circuit analysis to diagnose and resolve issues
Participate in cross-functional meetings to review design, manufacturing procedures, or quality related issues.
Apply principles and techniques of electrical engineering to analyze failures to improve design or manufacturing processes.
Participate in human factor / usability and design validation process.
Participate in risk management analysis and documentation.
Responsible for design modification, new component qualification, design change test requirements, and design change documentation.
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required (preferred field of study: Electrical Engineering).
Demonstrated working knowledge of electrical engineering (both analog and digital).
Demonstrated working knowledge of low power embedded design.
Demonstrated working knowledge of Computer Aided Design.
Demonstrated working knowledge of tools and instruments utilized in electrical engineering field.
Familiarity with FDA guidelines on design and manufacturing of the medical devices is a plus.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
Programming experience in C/C++, Python, and MATLAB is highly desirable
Knowledge of RF Design and BLE protocol
Experience writing scripts in Python or other languages
Experience with engineering tools: Cadence OrCAD, PCB Editor, MATLAB, MathCAD, Minitab
Ability to organize and judge priorities.
Ability to manage projects.
Demonstrated ethical, responsible, and data-driven decision-making approach
Medical devices or wearable device industry experience is a big plus.
Familiarity with FDA guidelines on design and manufacturing of the medical devices is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits: For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $70,100.00 - $105,200.00 This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
