Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Subassembly Foreman in directing and coordinating daily activities of Controls Technicians and shop personnel 
  • Assist with production scheduling by tracking job releases, verifying material availability, and helping prioritize work 
  • Help ensure production goals and deadlines are met by monitoring workflow and addressing bottlenecks 
  • Serve as a point of contact on the shop floor to answer questions and provide technical guidance 
  • Coordinate with Engineering to resolve production issues, including documenting and communicating drawing discrepancies 
  • Perform and support quality inspections of control panels and assemblies to ensure compliance with standards 
  • Assist in tracking production metrics such as efficiency, throughput, and on-time delivery 
  • Help maintain appropriate levels of floor stock materials and communicate shortages as needed 
  • Support coordination of shipping schedules with internal teams 
  • Monitor shop equipment and report maintenance or repair needs 
  • Promote and enforce safety, cleanliness, and organization within the shop 
  • Step in to support leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Subassembly Foreman 
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with overall production schedules 
  • Other related duties as assigned 


Requirements:

  • Secondary education, training, or certification in an Electrical field preferred 
  • 3–5 years of experience in control panel assembly or related electrical/mechanical assembly 
  • Prior leadership, lead, or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or panel shop environment preferred 
  • Familiarity with production scheduling and workflow coordination 
  • Experience working in an ISO or quality-driven environment preferred 
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus 
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office 
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills 
  • Forklift experience a plus
