Job Description:
Chisholm Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech Advisor to lead the high school speech team. The advisor will guide students in developing their communication, presentation, and performance skills while fostering confidence, teamwork, and excellence in competition.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and conduct regular speech team practices.

• Coach students in various speech categories (e.g., informative speaking, persuasive speaking, dramatic interpretation, poetry, and storytelling).

• Coordinate participation in local, regional, and state tournaments.

• Manage competition registrations, travel, and event logistics.

• Promote a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented team environment.

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and administration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Background in speech, communications, or theatre desirable.

• Prior coaching or competitive speech experience preferred.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Commitment to student development and extracurricular excellence.
