What You'll Do
As a Production Manager, you’ll oversee daily production operations and ensure that manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll guide production engineering teams, coordinate with cross‑functional departments, and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and operational standards. Your leadership will play a critical role in driving on‑time delivery, production excellence, and continuous improvement.
A Day in the Life
Your day might involve planning production workflows, analyzing resource needs, troubleshooting escalated engineering challenges, or aligning with leaders across Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations. You’ll evaluate production schedules, ensure safe work practices, maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards, and proactively solve bottlenecks. Above all, you’ll motivate and direct production teams to deliver industry‑leading workmanship and performance.
Specific Duties
- Provide leadership and direction for the manufacturing of highly complex electrical power transformers.
- Advise production engineering teams on projects, technical challenges, and operational priorities.
- Resolve escalated engineering issues that require cross‑department coordination.
- Lead planning and design efforts to improve or enhance existing production programs and processes.
- Direct and allocate production resources to achieve Delta Star’s goal of 100% on‑time delivery.
- Establish performance standards, measure progress, and address delays or issues with corrective action.
- Review budgets, staffing needs, schedules, and production requirements to determine efficient resource allocation.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Maintain exceptional standards for cleanliness, housekeeping, and facility improvements.
- Uphold Delta Star’s standards for workmanship, quality, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
We’re looking for a strong technical leader with deep manufacturing expertise, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to guide teams through complex electrical power transformer production.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education.
- Minimum of five years of engineering or plant supervision experience within a manufacturing environment.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge in Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge of industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Strong understanding of quality systems, health & safety standards, and process improvement techniques.
- Excellent technical, project management, and communication skills.

- Proven ability to evaluate problems, implement solutions, and improve processes.
