About the role
We are looking for a talented individual to join our finance team. In this newly created role, you will be the key player in the monthly investment closing process, acting as a central person between Investment Team, General Ledger accoutants, Treasury Team and Investment platform IT owner.
Your responsibilities
Support investment operational accounting activities and contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes in accordance with IFRS and Swiss GAAP
Ensure accurate controls, and proper accounting of investment transactions within General Ledger and Financial DataLake
Support internal and external audits, and validation of reconciliations between Oracle General Ledger / DataLake and core investment platforms
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across departments such as Investment, General Ledger Accounting, Treasury, Data, Investment platform IT owner and Tax
Collaborate closely with external stakeholders such as Custodians, Banks and Investment Accounting provider
Review of investment accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness
Support in ensuring overall investment data quality and advancing internal control
Support project implementation from finance perspective
Various ad hoc clarifications
Your profile
Completed financial or business administration education with further qualification in accounting (e.g. specialist certificate in finance and accounting, Bachelor/Master in Accounting or Banking & Finance)
Knowledge of IFRS investment accounting standards and principles is a must (Swiss GAAP knowledge will be an advantage)
Several years of professional experience in investment accounting and attention to details is essential
Experience with major investment applications advantageous
Good communication skills, hands-on working style, team spirit, proactivity and flexibility
Very good English language skills, both written and spoken
High IT affinity (MS Office). Database knowledge is an advantage
