Position Overview:

As a Factory Commissioning Leader, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how our teams bring world-class rail vehicles to life. You’ll coach, motivate, and empower a group of skilled technicians, creating an environment where safety, quality, and continuous improvement drive everything we do. Your leadership ensures that teams feel supported, schedules stay on track, and challenges become opportunities for innovation. What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Lead teams of test technicians to ensure the safety, health, and welfare of all team members.
  • Ensures adherence to defined guidelines, processes and procedures, and ensures achievement of agreed performance standards such as safety, quality and schedule.
  • Supervises the testing of new products and participates in the creation of solutions to departmental challenges.
  • Contributes to budget planning processes and monitors budget adherence
  • The direct supervision of 30+ employees
  • Employee relations including; employee motivation, effective two way communication and employee engagement
  • Performance Management; monitor and take action to maintain performance levels of all direct reports.
  • Schedule Management; collaborating on and executing schedules for factory commissioning.

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • Associate’s degree in an engineering or business discipline or 10+ years experience in a similar role
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience (with an associate’s degree)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership role
  • Must be proficient in electrical, pneumatic, mechanical troubleshooting
  • Must have excellent communication
  • Decision making skills
  • Self-directed
  • Always looking for continuous improvement

The base salary range for this position in Lexington, NC is $102,102 - $119,952. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications. The annual incentive target is 5% of the base salary.
