Job Description

Job Locations: 

Miami, FL; Philadelphia, PA; Scranton, PA; Arizona

Job Description: 

  • Leverage in-depth knowledge specific to the Wood Industry to present and sell company’s capital equipment and services to current and potential customers
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to increase sales volume in the territory
  • Generate and follow new leads and referrals resulting from field visits, trade shows, etc.
  • Maintain sales materials and current product knowledge
  • Establish and maintain current customer and potential customer relationships
  • Identify and resolve customer concerns
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to establish activities within territory such as customer open houses, tech tours, and product promotions
  • Active utilization of CRM/Sales Intelligence to improve Area Sales Growth and Efficiency in alignment with corporate commercial strategy
  • Responsible for utilizing territory knowledge to support both rolling and annual budget forecasting
  • Gather competitive information and assess market demands within the territory
  • Participation in both regional and national trade shows and training seminars
  • Ensure customers are satisfied during the sales process to include coordinating and leading all site customer meetings and visits through the point of sale and up to transition to project management
  • Partner with Sales Administration team to create accurate quotes
  • Working with the Senior Management Team to ensure the coordination and timely resolutions to collections situations within your territory, in the best interest of the company both financially and commercially
  • Extensive travel within territory

 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the Wood Industry, preferably CNC machines. We prefer someone coming from this industry but would consider candidates with a parallel path of industry experience, for example:
    • Tooling sales in the Wood Industry – products for Wood processing, or complimentary equipment sold to the Wood industry
    • Experience working in wood distribution channels that supply wood sheets to shops on a regular basis
  • Knowledge and understanding of applications in the Wood CNC Industry
  • Experience using Customer Relationship Management tools- preferably Salesforce
  • Ability to build trust and develop relationships with people from small business owners to leadership of large companies
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems with customers, management, and colleagues
  • Ability to travel both domestic and international
