Main Reposnabilities:
- Research Activities.
- Perform lab experiments on a daily basis, documents results & discusses with supervisor.
- Solve routine technical problems, using defined methods and protocols.
- Safely operate, maintain and organize lab equipment.
- Maintain a safe, clean and orderly laboratory environment in accordance with EHS guidelines.
Background / Skills
- BS level scientist +5 years job training, or MS level scientist, capable of addressing scientific challenges, or Education as chemical technician and several years of experience on the job
- Technician +10-15 years of experience
- More experience, independence and own initiative as compared to Research Technician/Technology Assistant level
- Fluent in French and English
- Computer literacy
- Scientific/analytical skills
- Very good knowledge of lab equipment and its' safe use to perform research experiments
- Very good knowledge of materials and supplies needed to conduct research experiments
- Very good understanding of a research documentation protocol
- Proficiency in Givaudan-specific software applications
- Good knowledge of EHS guidelines as they pertain to lab maintenance and operation
