Facilities
Engineer, Senior
Facilities
engineer to be responsible for the maintenance and improvement of our
manufacturing plant. The individual will
be responsible for assessing the facilities resource requirements, designing,
and optimizing the facility’s layout and critical operational systems, and
overseeing the maintenance of infrastructure and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead cross functional teams to develop project scopes that include technical requirements, trade budgets, and construction scheduling.
- Manage capital project financials and construction to manage projects on time and within budget.
- Evaluate operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies.
- Oversee the implementation of facility expansion, layout of various systems and quality controls.
- Gather data and analyze the data and reports to determine facility and equipment specifications.
- Work with the facilities team on planning and coordinating infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and activities.
- Develop and implement cost-effective maintenance strategies and programs to assure business continuity i.e., predictive maintenance programs, preventative maintenance, and compliance services.
- Develop balance scorecard and key performance indicators (KPIs) for measuring performance to assure continuous improvement.
- Support companies risk mitigation programs as outlined by the company’s risk insurer.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, environmental and health and safety guidelines and industry standards.
- Assist facilities management in various administrative roles, including but not limited to:
- Manage cost effective equipment and facility services contracts, establish written policies and procedures, and manage personal space planning.
Key Competencies & Skills required:
- Experience in trouble shooting facilities issues and problem solving.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and SAP.
- Must be able to effectively approach and prioritize multiple tasks at any given time.
- Previous experience with budgets and vendor negotiations.
- Computer Aided Drafting, AutoCAD preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft project or comparable project scheduling software.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering or another related field.
- At least 5 years of experience as facilities engineer or in a similar role.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience or equivalent in industrial/commercial maintenance.
