Job Description

The Sourcing Manager is responsible for leading the company’s sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management activities for direct and indirect purchases for production, and resale items to ensure timely, cost‑effective, and high‑quality procurement of materials, and goods. This role develops procurement strategies, negotiates contracts, manages supplier relationships, and collaborates cross‑functionally to support operational, financial, and supply chain objectives.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Strategic Procurement & Planning:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Analyze market trends, cost drivers, and supply risks to optimize sourcing decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and alternative supplier/material introduction.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Supplier Management:

  • Conduct contract negotiations to secure competitive pricing, terms, and service levels.
  • Source, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers; manage ongoing supplier performance.
  • Establish strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply and top performance.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews and supplier scorecard development.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Purchasing Operations:

  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing data, and supplier documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

 

Cross‑Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with Supply Chain, Operations, Product Management, Engineering, Finance, and Quality teams to understand demand and forecast needs.
  • Support new product introductions with inventory planning, timely material sourcing, and introducing new suppliers.
  • Resolve issues related to pricing, delivery, or quality in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

 

Cost Management & Reporting:

  • Drive cost‑savings initiatives and track procurement KPIs.
  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid stockouts and minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Prepare regular reports on purchasing performance, supplier trends, and cost variances.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Compensation: $115,000+ depending on experience
