Fusion Dance Centre

Ensemble Performing Arts is is seeking enthusiastic, nurturing, and reliable Preschool Dance Teachers for Fusion Dance Centre in Roselle Park, NJ,  We're looking for teachers who love working with tiny humans and helping them build confidence through music and movement. Our preschool dance classes focus on imagination, motor skills, and joyful movement in a positive and encouraging environment.

This position is ideal for a unicorn with experience teaching young children ages 2–5, who loves to be silly and create magic every day!  Prior dance experience should include basic foundations of ballet, tap, and jazz.  Curriculum and training is provided. Part-time and Full-time positions are available.

Position Overview

The Preschool Dance Teacher leads engaging, age-appropriate classes that introduce young dancers to movement, rhythm, and classroom structure while fostering a love of dance and learning. 

Our preschool program prioritizes confidence-building, creativity, and social development in a supportive environment, both inside the studio and at our off-site programs.

Responsibilities

  • Teach fun, structured preschool dance classes for children ages 2–5
  • Create a welcoming, encouraging atmosphere where young dancers feel safe and confident
  • Use music, imagination, and storytelling to engage children in movement activities
  • Maintain classroom structure while keeping lessons playful and interactive
  • Communicate positively with parents and studio staff
  • Help prepare students for our annual recital performance
  • Arrive prepared and on time for all classes

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a modern-day Mary Poppins who:

  • Truly enjoys working with young children
  • Is patient, energetic, and encouraging
  • Is comfortable leading groups of preschool-aged children
  • Can maintain structure while keeping classes fun and engaging
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management skills
  • Is reliable, organized, and communicates professionally
  • Must pass a routine background check
  • Is ready to invest in the growth of the program long-term and help young dancers build confidence and social skills

Schedule

  • Daytime, evening, and/or weekend classes.  Classes will be at our studio location and also in our local community programs.
  • Opportunities for additional classes, camps, and events

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with toddlers and preschool-aged children
  • Background in early childhood education, childcare, or youth programs
  • Experience leading groups of young children (camps, daycare, gymnastics etc.)

*Prior dance experience and familiarity with ballet, tap, and jazz basics can be minimal. We will provide curriculum guidance and support.
