Job Description

As a Distribution Manager on the Tractor Trailer team you will be responsible to lead a team of Drivers to deliver our product and support our customers’ needs. Your goal will be to ensure that all customer needs are taken care of with a focus on safety, and efficient utilization of assets and costs. Your success will depend on your ability to lead a team of drivers to ensure safe delivery of our products while managing budgets, recruitment of new drivers and helping to meet the needs of our customers.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provides clear direction by establishing and regularly communicating performance expectations and results with the team, and takes appropriate actions to address issues when they arise

Your Skills:  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal & Leadership skills. 

  • Ability to uphold Environmental, Health, and Safety standards

  • Attention to detail, with a high sense of accountability and urgency

  • Multitasking & quick decision-making ability

  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

 

Your Experience:  

  • Post-secondary education and/or equivalent distribution experience, with a customer service background

  • 5-10 years of experience in a logistics and/or customer service related role

  • 3-5 years of logistics management experience

  • Previous experience in an operational environment, a manufacturing setting or in the transportation industry would be considered an asset
