The Technical Lead will be responsible for end-to-end technical ownership of the Dynamics 365 CE onpremise upgrade and migration to new servers. This role provides technical direction, ensures solution quality, manages technical risks, and acts as the primary technology interface with client stakeholders. This role provides the opportunity to work for Microsoft’s #1 partner, with an unrivalled focus on personal development and training in both technology and softer consulting skills. Together we do what matters. 

 

What you’ll do 

  • Led end-to-end technical delivery of Dynamics 365 CE onpremise upgrade from v9.0 to v9.1  
  • Owned database backup, restore, and migration from legacy to new servers  
  • Guided and reviewed upgrades of Plugins, Actions, Custom Workflows  
  • Oversaw remediation and compatibility for Web APIs, Web Applications, and SSIS jobs  
  • Ensured .NET Framework upgrades:  
  • v4.7.1 for Plugins, Actions, and Custom Workflows 
  • v4.8 for Web Apps, Web APIs, and SSIS workloads 
  • Led SQL Server upgrade to 2022, focusing on SSIS workloads  
  • Identified and resolved deprecated functions across:  
  • Dynamics 365 CE 9.1 
  • .NET Framework 4.8 
  • SQL Server 2022 
  • Led D365 CE v9 environment setup and migration, including application and data migration  
  • Managed deployment of upgraded web applications, APIs, and batch jobs  
  • Ensured technical readiness for GoLive and HyperCare phases  
  • Oversaw unit testing and supported SIT/UAT defect resolution  
  • Delivered effort estimates, delivery timelines, and risk mitigation plans

Skills & Experience 

  • 8-12 years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE / CRM (OnPrem). 
  • Strong hands-on expertise with D365 CE v9.x upgrade projects. 
  • Deep knowledge of: C#, .NET Framework (4.7.1 & 4.8) 
  • Dynamics Plugins, Custom Workflows, Actions 
  • Web APIs (REST), IIS-hosted applications 
  • Experience leading SSIS job upgrades and SQL migrations. 
  • Strong understanding of deployment, rollback, and cutover strategies. 
  • Prior experience working with banking or regulated environments preferred.
