About Us
TAE Power Solutions (TPS) is the electrification spin-off from TAE Technologies, a leader in nuclear fusion technology. The company is leveraging unique power management technology originally developed for nuclear fusion and applying it in adjacent industries, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and DC Fast Charging for electric vehicles.
About the Role
The Senior Technical Program Manager is responsible for end-to-end execution of complex, cross-functional programs from engineering release through manufacturing, system integration, deployment readiness, and customer delivery.
This role drives program governance and bridges Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure programs are delivered on schedule, within cost targets, and in compliance with regulatory and certification requirements.
This is a high-ownership execution role focused on operational rigor, dependency management, risk mitigation, and scalable process maturity.
The position does not own manufacturing or supply chain functions but ensures operational readiness through structured program oversight and cross-functional accountability.
Role Requirements
Program Governance, Execution & Delivery
- Develop and own integrated master program schedules across engineering, supply chain, operations, manufacturing, field teams and deployment.
- Drive cross-functional execution readiness for customer projects, retrofit, certification updates, and scale programs.
- Track structured milestone tracking, critical path items and enforce recovery plans
- Lead structured program reviews (weekly tactical + monthly executive reviews+ program reviews).
- Ensure zero-gap handoffs between Commercial → Product → Engineering → Manufacturing → Field.
Cross-functional Integration
- Ensure engineering deliverables are aligned with operational build readiness.
- Partner with Manufacturing / Contract manufacturer to align build plans with material availability and capacity.
- Drive production readiness reviews (PRR), manufacturing readiness reviews (MRR), and release gates.
- Ensure process controls, change management discipline, and configuration control are maintained.
- Identify scale bottlenecks (labor, tooling, supplier capacity, testing infrastructure).
- Identify dependency gaps and eliminate execution blind spots.
Supply Chain & Vendor Oversight
- Monitor long-lead items, component-level risk, and supplier performance.
- Escalate supply chain risks early with mitigation options.
- Drive alignment between procurement forecasts and program build schedules.
Engineering & Technical Coordination
- Translate engineering deliverables into executable operational plans.
- Track regulatory, compliance, and certification milestones (UL/NFPA/IEC, etc.).
- Manage engineering change impacts to cost, schedule, and fielded systems.
Risk & Escalation Management
- Establish and maintain structured risk registers with quantified impact analysis.
- Lead root-cause-driven recovery plans.
- Escalate systemic risks early with mitigation pathways.
- Provide executive-level clarity on tradeoffs and decision points.
Process & Scale Enablement
- Improve program governance, reporting cadence, and cross-functional accountability.
- Standardize program reporting frameworks across teams. Improve execution discipline and accountability mechanisms.
- Standardize KPIs across cost, schedule, quality, and operational readiness.
- Build repeatable execution frameworks to support scaling from pilot to volume production.
- Identify structural bottlenecks that limit scale readiness.
- Support transition from pilot builds to volume deployment models.
Scope of Authority
- Owns program schedule governance.
- Owns cross-functional milestone accountability.
- Influences operational readiness but does not directly manage Supply Chain or Manufacturing teams.
- Drives executive visibility and decision frameworks.
Required
- 8+ years in Technical Program Management, Operations Program Management, or similar execution-heavy roles.
- Experience in hardware systems (BESS, power electronics, data centers, industrial systems, energy infrastructure, etc.).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, and NPI processes.
- Experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary engineering programs.
- Proficiency in structured scheduling tools (JIRA, MS Project, Confluence etc.) and execution tracking systems.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder alignment skills.
Preferred
- Experience in regulated industries (UL, NFPA, ISO, etc.).
- Exposure to battery energy storage systems (BESS), power conversion systems (PCS), UPS, or similar.
- PMP or equivalent certification.
- Background in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems).
The compensation range for this role is between $115,000-130,000 + Benefits
