    Typically, a four-day work week – Monday – Thursday

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    Keep immediate supervisor informed of problems in regard to productivity, efficiency, disciplinary action, attendance, tardiness, and other issues of policy compliance within the Department Lead’s department.

    Keep immediate supervisor informed of any current or potential problems among or between employees so that timely intervention can be used to diffuse or correct developing interpersonal problems.

    Ensure department employees use correct job task procedures to guarantee product quality and meet minimum efficiency and production standards using appropriate supervisory techniques.

    Maintain surveillance of work supply and see that adequate work-in-process is available at the workstation and that there are no interruptions.

    Should department employees run out of work for any reason, move crew to another area, and immediately report the situation to their immediate production manager.

    Ensure all work areas are kept clean and clear of debris or obstructions.

    Report to immediate supervisor any problems encountered with equipment, rewash and reject levels, and the work schedule. Within the boundaries of assigned responsibility and authority, find appropriate solutions to problems to ensure a smooth, efficient and cost-effective operation.

    Ensure quality standards are understood and applied appropriately by the department employees. Periodically sample production quality to ensure standards are met.

    Inform the immediate supervisor when the product is excessively worn, damaged, or otherwise does not meet minimum quality standards and should be replaced.

    Provide sufficient training to new employees to ensure they are able to perform assigned duties adequately (employee is able to meet minimum production and quality standards).

    Ensure all production employees understand and apply production record requirements and submit complete and accurate production reports daily and on time.

    Give advice and instruction to production employees regarding production efficiency, product quality standards and their application, and workflow.

    Ensure that all Company safety and health policies and procedures are observed and that employees are in compliance.

    May be required to substitute at other job positions as operational requirements dictate.

    May be assigned other duties as directed by the Production Supervisor or other facility manager.
