| The LPN performs nursing care of patients in accordance with the physician's orders and under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via the nursing process, the therapeutic environment, treatment and modalities and interdisciplinary collaboration. Director or Nurse Manager may assign to serve as LPN Preceptor for the unit. | ||||||||||||

| * Education requirements met before obtaining Licensure thru the State of Louisiana | ||||||||||||
| * IV certification Required | ||||||||||||
| Experience: | ||||||||||||
| * One year of experience in a healthcare environment preferred | ||||||||||||
| * One year of LPN experience preferred | ||||||||||||
| Licenses/Certificates: | ||||||||||||
| * Current LPN license (either Louisiana LPN or Compact LPN) verified thru Louisiana State Board of Nursing or Nursys | ||||||||||||
| * BLS/CPR certification required. | ||||||||||||
