    Human Resources Coordinator

    Job Summary

    The Human Resources Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the district's human resources functions. This position assists in implementing personnel policies, coordinating recruitment and onboarding processes, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with district, state, and federal regulations. The Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for employees and administrators, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters while promoting efficient and consistent personnel practices.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Coordinates and supports a wide range of human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and compliance
    • Assists with recruitment efforts, including job postings, applicant tracking, interview coordination, and hiring processes
    • Facilitates new employee onboarding, orientation, and required documentation
    • Maintains accurate employee records, including contracts, certifications, and personnel files
    • Assists with preparation, processing, and distribution of employment contracts and salary documentation
    • Monitors employee certification and licensure to ensure compliance with state requirements
    • Serves as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, leave, and employment procedures
    • Supports administration of employee benefits and leave programs, including tracking and reporting
    • Assists in coordinating employee evaluation processes and maintaining related documentation
    • Helps investigate and document employee concerns or issues, escalating as appropriate
    • Maintains and supports the district's HRIS or hiring platform
    • Assists with staffing reports, data collection, and workforce planning needs
    • Ensures HR practices align with district policies, procedures, and applicable laws
    • Stays informed of current HR trends, laws, and best practices in education

    Qualifications

    • Masters or Specialist degree in Educational Leadership or Supervision
    • Valid Georgia PSC certificate in Educational Leadership (Tier I or II) 
    • At least five years of successful school experience
    • Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and school system operations
    • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
    • Proficiency in technology systems, including HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite
