Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Tool Room Manager to oversee all activities related to the maintenance, repair, and manufacturing of tooling, including injection molds, dies, and fixtures. This role is responsible for ensuring optimal tool performance, driving continuous improvement, and supporting production through efficient tooling operations.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee maintenance, repair, and creation of tooling (injection molds, dies, fixtures)

Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all tooling

Diagnose complex tooling issues and implement timely, cost-effective repairs

Manage inventory of spare parts, inserts, and supplies, including cost tracking systems

Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for the tool room

Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement lean manufacturing principles

Review new product designs for manufacturability, tooling options, and cost reduction

Supervise manufacturing, assembly, and testing of new tools and molds

Oversee mold trials and product validation to ensure quality and technical compliance

Maintain accurate mold history records (repairs, maintenance, design changes

Train and support tool room staff on systems and processes
