Job Description

The EHS Technician supports the implementation and maintenance of environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a safe workplace. This role works closely with operations and leadership to identify risks, enforce policies, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the EHS department
  • Conduct routine EHS audits and workplace inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Document EHS-related findings, non-conformities, and deficiencies; track and follow up on corrective actions
  • Support internal and external audit preparation (e.g., ISO, customer audits), including documentation and coordination
  • Maintain and organize EHS records and documentation in compliance with regulatory and company requirements
  • Accurately report workplace incidents by documenting recordable injuries and illnesses on the OSHA 300 Log
  • Monitor and coordinate subcontractor activities to ensure adherence to EHS standards and policies
  • Collect, process, and analyze EHS data; prepare reports and track key deadlines and compliance metrics
  • Assist in the development and preparation of risk assessments and safety evaluations

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in a related field is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Basic understanding of ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 management systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification or training in fire safety or other EHS-related disciplines
  • Internal or external auditor certification for ISO 14001:2015 and/or ISO 45001:2018
  • Prior experience supporting EHS programs or compliance activities
