Job Summary:
Rausch Sturm LLP is looking for an experienced Litigation Specialist to review, analyze, and resolve civil process service-related tasks. The Litigation Specialist I will play an integral role in managing internal exception reports, recognize potential issues, and propose solutions. Other responsibilities may include, but are not limited to court follow-up, document production, and any other Legal Operations processes or procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Responsible for entry of good service and non-service into the system of record.
- Enter costs of billing for process service, motions, renewals, and garnishment service.
- Effectively communicate statuses of suits for service with respective process service companies or sheriffs.
- Determine likely addresses for service attempts.
- Generate motions and renewals for second summons and/or alternative service using Word Perfect.
- Route suits to judgment, dismissal, or skip tracing.
- Determine potential roadblocks regarding service, and propose potential solutions.
- Other responsibilities may include, but are not limited to court follow-up, document production, and any other Legal Operations processes or procedures.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate across departments, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to resolve issues quickly and adapt to new technologies or workflows.
Education and Experience:
- Highschool diploma, or equivalent, required.
- Experience in legal operations preferred.
- Experience in legal documentation processes preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Frequently required to talk or hear, and use hand to type, handle, or touch objects.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
Work Environment:
The position is an office-based position.
