Job Description:The Accounting Specialist is an integral member of the KVH accounting team, responsible for payroll processing and administration for Hospital District 2, with additional support provided to Hospital District 1. This role also plays a key supporting function in accounts payable operations, assisting with invoice processing, vendor payments, and related workflows. Time in this position is expected to be approximately evenly divided between payroll and accounts payable responsibilities, ensuring consistent support across both functions. The position also contributes to general fiscal services and supports monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory reporting while ensuring compliance with established organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications:What is required...
- At least two years of previous accounts payable, payroll and/or general accounting experience
- Current Washington State Driver’s License
- Valid automobile insurance (minimum of liability coverage)
What is preferred...
- Associates Degree with a focus in finance
- Experience with Quickbooks
- Previous work experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience with time and attendance systems, specifically UKG
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) through the American Payroll Association
Wage: Wage range currently starts at $23.32/hour and goes up to $35.35/hour. Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience.
FTE: 1.0 (40 hours/week)
