The Supervisor, Warehouse plans, organizes and monitors the receiving, storage and distribution of equipment, supplies and products ensuring a smooth and consistent operations.
This position serves our US Air Division, supporting the Poplar Bluff, MO location.
Responsibilities
- Oversees warehouse schedules, budgets, and project deliverables.
Provides direct supervision over warehouse staff.
Provides performance feedback, coaching and mentoring.
Accomplishes warehouse objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
Communicating job expectations
Planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions
Adhering to policies and procedures.
Responsible for monitoring, and managing policies and processes as it pertains to material movement throughout the manufacturing organization.
Responsible for moving inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouse
coordinating inventory transfers with related departments.
Responsible for maintaining and controlling inventory accuracy to ensure optimum levels while continuing to improve line fills on orders for the manufacturing organization.
Works closely with Operations, Materials, Customer Service, and freight carriers to ensure that customer needs are met.
Identifies, recommends and implements process improvements.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
5+ years' experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
Experience in supervising hourly employees.
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, teamwork, proven leadership abilities, and excellent problem solving skills.
Must possess superior planning, decision-making, use of staff service, and motivation skills.
Must possess good judgment, planning and analytical skills, with the ability to engage team members to support significant shop floor change.
Ability to organize and deliver effective training tools.
Ability to manage multiple projects.
Ability to interact and work in a distribution center floor environment.
Working knowledge of MS Office, to include Word and Excel.
HOW TO STAND OUT:
Bachelor’s degree in Operations or related field
Certified lift truck experience preferred.
ERP system knowledge such as Oracle or SAP.
Experience in a unionized environment.
