Job Description

The Supervisor, Warehouse plans, organizes and monitors the receiving, storage and distribution of equipment, supplies and products ensuring a smooth and consistent operations.

This position serves our US Air Division, supporting the Poplar Bluff, MO location.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees warehouse schedules, budgets, and project deliverables.
  • Provides direct supervision over warehouse staff. 

  • Provides performance feedback, coaching and mentoring.

  • Accomplishes warehouse objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees

  • Communicating job expectations

  • Planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions

  • Adhering to policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for monitoring, and managing policies and processes as it pertains to material movement throughout the manufacturing organization. 

  • Responsible for moving inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouse

  •  coordinating inventory transfers with related departments.

  • Responsible for maintaining and controlling inventory accuracy to ensure optimum levels while continuing to improve line fills on orders for the manufacturing organization.

  • Works closely with Operations, Materials, Customer Service, and freight carriers to ensure that customer needs are met.

  • Identifies, recommends and implements process improvements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 

  • 5+ years' experience in a warehouse or distribution environment

  • Experience in supervising hourly employees.

  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, teamwork, proven leadership abilities, and excellent problem solving skills.

  • Must possess superior planning, decision-making, use of staff service, and motivation skills.

  • Must possess good judgment, planning and analytical skills, with the ability to engage team members to support significant shop floor change.

  • Ability to organize and deliver effective training tools.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects.

  • Ability to interact and work in a distribution center floor environment.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office, to include Word and Excel.

HOW TO STAND OUT:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations or related field

  • Certified lift truck experience preferred.

  • ERP system knowledge such as Oracle or SAP.

  • Experience in a unionized environment.
