Job Description:

 

Responsibilities:  

 

  • Work closely with small and mid-sized business clients to deliver a range of bookkeeping services.  

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. 

  • Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts accurately and timely 

  • Prepare and enter adjusting journal entries as needed.  

  • Handle bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable and other items. 

  • Clean up client accounts to ensure readiness for tax return preparation.  

  • Generate and provide reports to clients and the tax preparation team.  

  • Communicate with clients, responding to inquiries and collaborating on financial matters.  

  • Onboard clients and set up bookkeeping systems in QuickBooks Online.  

  • Assist the tax team with year-end reporting, including preparation of 1099s 

  • Contribute to special projects and continuously develop skills through training and learning opportunities.  

  • Build strong relationships through networking, support team development, and participate in activities that promote a healthy work-life balance. 

 

Qualifications:  

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.  

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting (preferably US clients) 

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and strong Microsoft Excel skills.  

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook and Word.  

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.  

  • Strong understanding of client service and professional services.  

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional, approachable demeanor.  

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and time-management skills, with a commitment to confidentiality. 

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
